One theme which persists in both ear - ly and later works of Heidegger is the failure of western philosophy to “think”. Being and Time. From this subjective conception of the verb to be, Heidegger can easily show that fundamentally be based on time, that is to say on the human ability to project over time (hence the title of the the book Being and Time).
